Alan recently joined Gradient to lead their Finance team, and just prior to that led the Finance function at Canvas Construction—both San Francisco hardware companies. Previously, Alan led and scaled finance teams at a number of startups in San Francisco and New York (Patreon, ClassPass, HowAboutWe). Alan's career began as an auditor at Arthur Andersen and through it all he has maintained his appreciation of a well-designed and meticulously-maintained Chart of Accounts. Alan is originally from North Dartmouth, MA.
